Sitting by itself this replica of a typical Swiss narrow aguge locomotive really looks real!
The full size humans give an idea of the scale...
All the electric and diesel outline locomotive and rail cars are powered by 1.3l Toyota gasoline engines driving a hydraulic pump which in turns powers hydraulic motors located in the trucks.

The park also features many steam engines. Only two made an appearence during my visit.
This one was lettered for the Sandy River Railroad. It is coal fired.

I had a quick look at the round house: lots of nice engines in there!
DSC00264.JPG
The floor of the round house is lowered to provide good access to the engines and proper head room in this scale building.

These cars are sometimes used for carrying the public (on rany days, I guess). The roofs open to let the passengers board and are closed for the ride.
The station features a full size roof.

The park features an impressive 1.5km (nearly a mile) on a relatively small surface. This is made possible by using several levels and lots of bridges and tunnels.
This is the longest bridge...

The park features many buildings, most of them scale replicas of real landmarks. This castle is not only a scale replica of the castle for the town of Aigle, but is built out of the same materials used for the original!

This building is a bank (this is Switzerland after all!). One wall is open so visitors can look inside.
DSC00268.JPG
The interior is fully furnished...

Storage shed for the non-steam equipment.
The main station. This is the only spot where passengers can get on and off the trains.
As shown here, even wheel chair users can ride the train.
View of the main "mountain".
Even though the track is a single loop, it is folded to provide several points with double track...

Thes two tracks are used for cleaning the steam engines.
DSC00278.JPG
Branching off the main line is a rack rail line.

This is the connection between to passenger cars viewed from the top. The cars share a truck as well.
The entire track (except the rack rail section) is dual gauge, 5inch and 7.25inch.
This gizmo is actuated by the trains, triggering the block signals and grade crossings lights and bells.
This appears to be a hydraulic lift table used for loading equipment.
