This is our host Richard: Thanks for having us over!
This and the following 17 pictures show some general views of the layout. At this point (January 2006) it has one loop and a half running. Richard's goal is to be "done" for the National Garden Railroad convention in July 2006.

This and the following 17 pictures show Eric's modified Regner Konrad. He built new front and rear end beams, and new cab (all out of walnut wood). He also re-did the plumbling by adding cast elbow parts where the steam lines were bent. Last but not least he gave it a new paint job.

This and the next two pictures show Eric's Two cylinder Shay from Accucraft. It has been repainted and expertely weathered.

This and the next two pictures show one of our host's locomotive: a Forney made by Roundhouse (not available anymore).

This and the next five pictures show more of Eric's talent at painting and weathering equipment. This car is from Accucraft.
This is a scratchbuilt car using Ozark cast parts.
This is an LGB side dump car (originaly shinny green).
Two more Accucraft cars.
This is a first: a picture with all my gauge one steam locomotives!

This is my latest aquisition: a Regner Willi. It is being modified by Eric to look more American. So far he's added the end beams (made of walnut wood). Coming soon will be some wood sides and a corugated roof supported by a light wood frame...
Here is the front end beam.
This close up of the beam shows how it was distressed to look "used".
This is my Argyle Philadelphia. This Australian built locomotive is a great runner.

This is an Accucraft Superior. The little red wire on the roof is part of an experimental radio control setup...
Being an English prototype, the Superior comes with three-links couplers.
I built a new rear plate to accomodate an American automatic coupler so I can pull other people's cars. I can switch back to the original coupler by swapping out the complete plate assembly using four screws.
This is the Vermod: it uses a pair of Mamod cylinders mounted vertically. Its chain drive has a 1:5 gear reduction. The vertical boiler was built by Henner. The chassis is all wood and rides on two LGB axles (both powered through a chain).

This strange contraption is a proof of concept for a gauge adapter that I intend to build to enable Eric's 3.5 inch gauge Amerikrauss locomotive to run on 4.75 inch gauge track. This model lets a Lego train motor block run on gauge one track.

Our host's dog is appropriatly named "steamer"!
