This is the first test: a small loop of Lego track laid on the patio in front of my house.

The tank on the right of the picture captures most of the oil and liquid water coming out of the steam engine. This minimizes the mess when running on Lego track...
This shows how the Lego part of the model is driven by the steam engine: a Lego cross axle was turned down to the same diameter as the shaft of the steam engine and a piece of silicon tubbing connects the two together.
This is the gas tank and burner from an Accucraft Ruby. The pipe from the tank was extended to reach the new location of the burner. This sub-assembly is shared with my "Vermod".
